Letter To The Editor of the Armadale Examiner on 13 August 2010

The full text of the Letter to the Editor, is below.

I refer to the item in the Armadale Examiner dated 12 August 2010, on page 3, in which invitation is made to members of the public to seek commitments from candidates in the federal election, by sending Letters To the Editor.

I note that lengthy Letters To the Editor, from some particular candidates, have been published, during this election campaign, with multiple letters from particular candidates, being published, thus excluding Letters from the public from being published.

I note also that the Letters To The Editor, from candidates in the election, have been used as election material by the candidates, and, one of the candidates whose letters have been published on multiple occasions, may or may not belong to a particular party, as sometimes the person is published as representing the party, and, sometimes not.

As a member of the public, whose Letter has not been published, due to the election material of candidates that has been published as Letters To The Editor, displacing Letters from the public, I provide the link to a web page that contains my Letter that was submitted, as the Letter raises important issues that appear to have been swept under the carpet.

The Letter is published at http://www.armadale-wa.net/Letters/LetterToEditorSundayTimes_20100728.html . Before disregarding the Letter as a Letter to another newspaper and not to this one, the web page needs to be read for clarification.
